MAKING A POUF, NO SEWING. (Gör din egen sittpuff)
Making a pouf can be done in many ways and you can be as creative as you want. Most people don’t own a sewing machine, this doesn’t have to be an obstacle. I show you one way of doing it.

First, I want to congratulate you on the beautiful work you do, your clients are very grateful for your talent. To close the video with a flourish, include a list of the materials you used, because those of us who are just starting out don't know the name of everything that was used, and it would be of great help to us. Congratulations I'm Marcelo Gonçalves - from Brazil
Challenge accepted!
Great, good luck. You will get better the more you practise.
@@MrLarsa1975 thank you! Appreciate your advice. Know where can I find affordable natural paper cord? Also.. laced or unlaced?
Gracias!
Thank you so much..
Q gran trabajo precioso lo voy a intentar
What oil do you recommend for restoration? I have 1960s one and needs some polishing.
I usually use Danish oil, but any oil will do. Danish oil will make oak a little bit darker. Osmo will also do and might even be better.
teach me that knot :-)
Hi, which knot are you tefering to?
Otroligt snyggt resultat!
Tack så mycket..
Love ur work. This is a veri easy way. Wil try this.
Thanks..
Andre
Very good
Thanks
Tja, bra video farsan
Thank you for the video. The cord on our wishbone chair has loosened. Is there a way to tighten it back up hand or is this something a professional should do?
It's difficult. Depending on where it is you don't have to redo the whole chair. You just have unwind to that spot. Though it might go faster to redo the whole chair.
How much danish cord per chair is needed? Thank you
It will take approach 120-150 m/chair.
Hi, a couple of questions if I may. I've watched a few videos of wishbone chairs being restored and I noticed that others don't add an extra wrap (by coming back on yourself) to the two side rails - see 4:42 /4:43. Is this your personal preference? How do you prevent the cord from slipping over itself when forming the 'X' shape? Talking about the 'X' pattern, how do you keep it so straight? mine always looks a bit wavy.
It's just a personal preference. Some chairs will come with an extra some don't. I usually do what wa on when I got the chair. The x shape is the most important part to achieve a great end result. When doing the x you have to pull quite hard at the same time make the turn. You can use your thumb to press into your corner so it will be tight. Difficult to explain.
@@MrLarsa1975 Thanks for your reply. I know exactly what you mean. My first chair took six tries - I can unwrap a chair so fast these days!!! I'm now on my second chair, only on my fifth attempt. I have to say that the final look has been far better than some I have seen around the web, but for me, I like the nice, crisp, straight line. I guess I need to concentrate more as I make those turns at the corners. As to the extra wraps, fortunately, I had taken several photos of the old chair before cutting away the seat & noticed that mine, too, had the extra wraps.
Hej!
WOW! So beautiful!
Thanks..
Hej!
I'm so jealous. I would love to do this type of work. I'm very detail oriented, and find working on furniture very meditative and calming.
I really enjoyed watching this! What is the material of the bar you put as the top rung, and what glue do you use?
This is great thanks for the tip and technic
Very nice !! But " No Sew" should not be you're heading . A person would need to know you have to have power tools galore .
Great video thanks for sharing!
Thanks...
Excellent. So easy to follow.
Thanks.
CAN YOU TELL WHAT IT THAT STRIP CALLED THAT YOU USE TO KEEP THE FABRIC IN A LINE. THANK YOU
I think its called tacking strip
@@lauramcintosh6821 thank you for sharing 🙏🏻 Found it on Amazon!!
How much does it cost to make a such lounge chair if I have a wooden part? And do you have such service in Sweden?
Hi, i refer you to our site for current prices. Yes we do, we are situated north of Stockholm. www.glinterior.se/category/tapetsering-renovering
@@GlinteriorSeGreenLiving Thank you very much for your answer, and I will contact you later.
Is Yute??? Thanks
How much cord is needed?
The approx length for one chair is 150m. You buy the cord in 625 m length which is enough for 4 chairs.
Hey Green Living Interiör. I thanks you many times for sharing this knowledge. I watched your video back in october and started my self. In januar i got it in my hands, took me around 3 month and now i have many costumers who are getting theirs wishbone chairs fixed by me. THANKS ALOT :D!
Hi Mike, I am very glad to hear that you have succeeded and that you find the video helpful.
Hi , I am planning to buy this chair, but I don’t know if it is comfortable or not. And is it easily deformed like this?

High class seat 👌🏽
Hello, can you use this glue for leather? Could you please tell me the name of the product? Many thanks
Hi,Usually you dont glue leather onto a Lamino chair. It is e bit different when you dress a lamino with textile/leather and sheepskin. When you upholster with sheepskin you dont add any foam which you do when upholster with fabric. But an answer to your question, you could use the glue for leather and the brand name is Sababond.
@@GlinteriorSeGreenLiving Thank you very much for your answer🙏🏽
Great video! Thanks
Could you help me. I have a Lamino chair that needs the leather replaced. What I am having trouble finding are a couple of replacement bolts to attach the legs to the frame and also where I could get the foam filling for the top and bottom. Please let me know if you have any information which might help.
Those bolts can be difficult to find. They are specially made. Please contact me through mail and we will sill see what we could figure out. The foam is just 10mm foam which you should be able to find in a closeby upholstery firm.
This is truly awesome!👏🌈👍
Thanks...
What tool is that you use that looks like a hammer? Is it to get the rope even?
I use a hammer to tap the cord together, they have a tendancy to slip apart. In my case I use a soft hammer but you can use an upholstery hammer (It is usually easier with a smaller head)) aswell or some other tool.
This is well done.Kindly check out on our UA-cam.We weave pure rattan furniture and baskets there.
Thanks, very helpfull!
Thanks
Do you have a link on where I can purchase that type of cord?
You can buy it from us depending where you are from. We might be able to ship it. We are located in sweden.
I have just bought x 8 wishbone reproductions, exact replica of original chair. The wood colour is too light for my mid century dining table so I want to stain the chairs like your colour here. Do I need to strip of oil from wood before I stain to match table? Thank you
It looks like you used soap and water? Maybe an oil soap like Murphy’s? followed by an oil? Maybe tung oil? Or perhaps original finish was lacquer? I’m scared to use water... my matching table proved susceptible to water. I now have water stains and will need to deal with them myself or by someone in the field of restoration. Looking at Wagner site you can buy them in multiple finishes so that was not much help.
The soap and water is just for cleaning, then I use danish oil in this case. As long as you remove the water its no problem. When the water will be left it will cause stain like when you leave a wet cup. You can the chair with many different treatment like oil, lacquer, soap, oainted.
Green Living Interiör danish oil of course!
hi there- how thick should the rope be? looks great!
Hi, for the wishbone chair it should be 3mm i diameter.
@@GlinteriorSeGreenLiving THanks so much for your reply. You make it look so easy but i'm sure this is very difficult. I might be crazy but i'm going to fix my chair myself!!
Its like everything, you will get better at it the more you do it. Just remember to have a firm grip and be meticulous in each corner so that one cord wont overlap the previous cord than everything will go fine.
@@GlinteriorSeGreenLiving hi i took out the rope today and sanded the chair. Will try to weave it tomorrow. How did you manage to tie the knot in the same place everytime? what is the length of the rope that you weave at one go?
It doesnt have to be, it just happend to be so this time. However the knots should be on the sides rather than in the front or back.
hello my friend, how many meters rope do i need for each chair? i want to make it like you.
Im not 100% sure but it is close to 150 meters per chair.
I read you need 120cm!
@@barbaratrullenque 120cm? is it for baby chair :(
Sorry! I meant meters
